Newsletters often stall because each issue takes too long to put together. A template with fixed blocks and word limits solves that. Send us the last issue you produced, tell us who usually puts it together, and we design around the time they really have.
Newsletter design
News your people actually open.
Our newsletter design gives you a template that looks right every issue, in print, as a PDF or by email. Your team adds the news.
Formats
Print, PDF or email?
Print
Printed newsletter
Usually four pages from an A3 sheet folded to A4, or 11 × 17 in folded to Letter in the US. Good for staff rooms, parishes and members who like paper.
PDF
PDF newsletter
The printed layout, exported with working links to send by email or post on your site. Quick to produce, though less comfortable on a phone screen.
Email
Email newsletter
A coded template about 600 pixels wide, built from blocks your team rearranges each issue. It reads well on phones and in dark mode.

Email rules
What must an email newsletter include?
Marketing emails come with legal duties. In the US, the CAN-SPAM Act requires a clear way to unsubscribe and a valid postal address in every message. UK and South African law also expect consent before most marketing emails reach individuals.
We build the footer with those details in place. Staff newsletters carry lighter rules, but a recognisable sender name and a plain-text version still help them past spam filters.

Questions
Questions about newsletter design
Question not here? Send it to us and we will answer it directly.
Ask a questionWhat length works for a company newsletter?
Shorter than most people plan. Four printed pages, or five to seven short stories in an email, is plenty for a monthly issue. Readers come back when each issue is quick to finish, so we design blocks with a clear word limit and leave space for photos rather than more text.
Can you lay out each issue for us?
Yes. Once the template exists, we can lay out every issue from your copy and photos, and edit drafts into a consistent tone if you want help with the writing. Regular issues are quoted at a fixed price each, agreed before the first one starts, so the budget holds all year.
How do template and issue costs work?
The template is a one-off design cost, and each issue after it is priced on page count and how much of the layout we do. Ordering a printed newsletter and its email version together costs less than designing each separately, because the second reuses the styles of the first. Your quote lists both.
Will our email newsletter look the same in every inbox?
Close, but never identical. Email apps render code differently, and some block images until the reader allows them. We design with real text instead of words set inside images, give every image alt text, and test the template in the main email apps on phone and desktop before we hand it over.

Get a quote for newsletter design
Tell us who the newsletter is for, how often it goes out, whether it’s printed, emailed or both, and which email platform you use. A past issue helps, if one exists. You get one fixed price for the template and another for each issue, and then work on your newsletter design begins.
