Marketing materials design

Everything you hand out, post or pin up.

Marketing materials design covers the everyday pieces that sell for you, from leaflets and pull-up banners to social posts and trade-show stands, in one style.

What it covers

Branded marketing materials for small businesses

Marketing materials are the working pieces of a brand, the things customers see week after week. They suit any organisation that promotes itself often, from a shop running a seasonal offer to a charity planning an appeal.

We design them as a set from your identity, so a banner, a social post and a mug clearly belong together. Longer printed pieces such as brochures and flyers have pages of their own.

How it works

How a campaign kit comes together

  1. Agree the message

One offer, one call to action and a list of everywhere it must appear.

  2. Design the lead piece

The most important item is designed and approved first.

  3. Adapt every format

Each size is reworked to fit, with words cut where space demands rather than shrunk.

Questions

Questions about marketing materials

Ask a question

How is this different from print design?

Print design covers documents people read, such as brochures, menus and stationery. Marketing materials are the promotional pieces around them: banners, adverts, social graphics and branded giveaways. Many projects need both, and because one team designs them, they share a single look.

Can you make templates so our team can post on social media?

Yes. We design editable templates for your regular posts, such as announcements, offers and events, with fonts, colours and logo placement fixed. Your team swaps the words and photos and posts without waiting for a designer, and the feed stays consistent.

What do exhibition printers need from us?

Usually a print-ready CMYK PDF with bleed, built to their template. Large backdrops are often supplied at quarter or tenth scale with the resolution raised to match, which keeps the files workable. We ask your printer for their specification first and build the artwork to it.

How is marketing materials design priced?

Mainly the number of different items and how many sizes each item needs. One banner is quick; a kit spanning print, social and adverts is larger, although adapting an approved design is quicker than designing every piece from nothing. Your fixed quote lists every item.

Is your identity settled yet?

Materials work best when the look behind them is fixed. If your logo, colours or type still need work, begin with brand identity design and add the materials once the basics are agreed. That way, every piece starts from a look you’ve already approved.
